Services

Pease Pod Design offers complete garden design planning including: site visits, hand drawn to-scale preliminary drawing, hand drawn to-scale color final drawing (18"x24"), hardscape designing (patios, walls, fences, gates, pathways), water features, planting layouts, Garden Design booklets tailored for each project, and consultations by the hour. While our company is based in Ventura County, in the city of Ventura, we are happy to accept landscape design, hardscape design, and interior design projects from Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, Los Angeles County, Southern California, and beyond.

The first appointment with the client is free. During this first visit the designer presents the Pease Pod Design portfolio and other related reference material. The client and designer discuss the proposed project, inspecting the site and reviewing any special needs (small children, pets, allergies, etc.) An overview of the design process is discussed with the client at this time. A brief visioning of design possibilities is shared by the designer. If the client decides to proceed with Pease Pod Design, one third of the fee is paid at this time.

The project area is measured and photographed at the second appointment. It is not necessary for the client to be present at the second appointment.

The preliminary pencil to-scale drawing is presented at the third appointment. Garden books and other reference materials showing plant selection, hardscape and the overall design are reviewed with the client. The drawing is left with the client for a few days to review and edit and then is picked up by the designer. Changes are made to the drawing at this time. The second third of the agreed to fee is paid at this time.

The final mounted drawing is presented by the designer at the fourth appointment. The client receives the final drawing, Design Guide booklet, and two black and white photocopies of the plan. The balance of the fee is paid at this time.

"Garden Design by the Hour" is another option available; a designer meets with the client at the site (or by telephone) and discusses various design possibilities for the project. Some reference material is provided to the client by the designer. The hourly fee is paid at the end of the appointment.

Complete interior and exterior design planning includes: consultations with the client, color selection, style definition, design color boards, and a Project Description Guide tailored for each project. A Historical Research Report of property is also available.
